it started off as if i was in reality. my mother in law came into the room to drop the dog off. then i was being chased by something in japan with a native and my husband. we got to a local ramen shop and were having a conversation about something. we went out the door and i was alone in an airport hotel lobby with an older son and my daughter. while waiting for my husband to text me the room number a woman tried to take the older son and i fought her off, then another woman tried to take my daughter and i was struggling to stop her, a girl nearby saw and came to help me. we then walked to the room and were hanging out. then we were leaving, as we were getting ready to leave she came up with my daughter who was now a few years older and said “lillian said she never falls asleep in your arms, thats obviously not true right” and i said “no of course not” and looked at lillian and asked her why she thought that and lillian said “i get put in my bassinet and wake up in my bassinet, you never let me sleep with you” i responded saying no, how would you remember if you are asleep.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences, so interpreting them can be subjective and can depend on your personal life and experiences. Here’s a possible interpretation of your dream:
Reality and Relationships: The dream starts in a familiar setting with your mother-in-law, suggesting themes of family and relationships. This could symbolize your feelings about family dynamics or your role within your extended family.
Chase and Anxiety: The experience of being chased can symbolize feelings of stress or anxiety in your waking life. Being in Japan might represent a journey into the unknown or a sense of adventure. The native person could signify guidance, suggesting you are not alone in facing your fears.
Protection and Maternal Instincts: The struggle to protect your children from the women trying to take them highlights a strong maternal instinct. It reflects your desire to keep your loved ones safe and could also point to concerns about external threats, whether they be physical or emotional.
Time and Growth: The older version of your daughter, Lillian, symbolizes the passage of time and perhaps your reflections on motherhood and your child’s growth. The conversation about sleep may represent concerns about the bond you have with your children, possibly reflecting feelings of insecurity about your parenting or the closeness of your relationship.
Memory and Connection: Lillian’s statement about not falling asleep in your arms could reflect a fear of not being present enough in your children’s lives or a desire to create lasting memories with them. Your response indicates a desire to reassure both Lillian and yourself about your parenting style and the nurturing nature of your relationship.
Overall, this dream seems to touch on themes of family, protection, growth, and the love and connection between you and your children. It may serve as a reminder to reflect on your relationships and how you nurture them while acknowledging your feelings of anxiety and the passage of time in your family's life.
